I am an Associate Professor at the John Chambers College of Business & Economics at West Virginia University. Previously I was a Senior Lecturer in Political Philosophy at King’s College London, in the department of Political Economy where I was the PPE program director for four years. I am interested in the philosophical aspects of political and economic institutions, specifically the relationship between property rights and state authority. My work has appeared in journals such as Philosophy & Public Affairs, The Journal of Politics, Law and Philosophy, Economics and Philosophy, as well as the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. My book, Property & Justice: A Liberal Theory of Natural Rights, was published with Routledge in 2021.
